Weddings in Broken Hill and the Far West

The whole day, as it felt

Wedding photography

Honest, unhurried, yours

Your wedding goes by in a blur. My job is to notice everything you'll miss: your dad's face during the speeches, the light through the window while you get ready, the friends who danced all night. I photograph quietly, guide you when it helps, and stay out of the way when it doesn't.

The Far West makes a remarkable backdrop. Red earth, enormous skies, the heritage streets of Broken Hill and the open country around Silverton all photograph beautifully, especially in the last hour before sunset.

Questions

Wedding questions

01Do you travel outside Broken Hill?
Yes. Silverton, Menindee, station properties and further afield across the Far West and beyond. Tell me where you're marrying and I'll let you know what's involved.
02How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have a date and a venue. Popular Saturdays in spring and autumn go early.
03When is the best time for portraits?
The hour before sunset, almost always. We'll build your timeline around it, and step away for twenty minutes so you get photographs in the best light without missing your own party.
04Do you help with the timeline?
Yes. I'll help you plan the day so there's time for everything without rushing, including family photographs and portraits.
05How long until we get our photographs?
I aim to have your gallery to you within four weeks. If anything holds that up, I'll be in touch with an updated date rather than leave you wondering.
